Terms of Use¶

By installing or using Follicle ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
License¶
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the App
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
- Remove or modify any proprietary notices
- Use the App in violation of any law
Subscriptions and purchases¶
The App offers Pro access through auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Pro Monthly — billed monthly
- Pro Yearly — billed annually (includes a 7-day free trial)
Both unlock the same Pro features. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your iTunes account is charged at the price displayed at purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the App does not issue partial refunds for unused time.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Pricing, availability, and refunds are governed by Apple's terms. Refund requests can be submitted at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If your Pro subscription ends, your existing data — photos, treatment logs, check-ins, and milestone progress — is preserved. iCloud sync is paused, and Free-tier limits apply only to new additions.
Content you create¶
Anything you enter in the App — your hair profile, treatment logs, check-ins, photos, and notes — belongs to you. We do not have access to it. If you turn on iCloud sync (Pro), your data is stored in your private Apple iCloud container; we still cannot access it. If you delete the App and have iCloud sync off, your local data is removed with it.
Health disclaimer¶
Follicle is an organisational and tracking tool, not medical advice. Milestone timelines, adherence trends, shedding scores, and check-in summaries are informational references based on your own logged data, not clinical guidance. The App does not diagnose hair loss conditions, prescribe treatments, or claim to cure, reverse, or improve hair growth.
Post-transplant recovery varies significantly between individuals. For any medical concerns — unexpected shedding, pain, infection, or graft loss — stop logging and contact your clinic or a licensed medical professional immediately. Always follow your surgeon's protocol over any generic guidance in the App.
No warranty¶
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability¶
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use of the App.
Changes to these terms¶
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above will reflect the latest revision. Continuing to use the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law¶
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to your principal residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where superseded by mandatory consumer protection laws.
